Refund Policy

14-day money-back guarantee. Not happy? Email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund — no questions asked.

1. Refund Eligibility

You're eligible for a full refund if:

  • You request the refund within 14 days of your initial purchase
  • The request is made in good faith (not abuse of the policy)
  • You haven't previously been refunded for the same subscription

2. How to Request a Refund

Email us at hello@fauxspy.com with:

  • Your order email (the one you used at checkout)
  • The reason for refund (optional but helpful for us)

We'll process your refund within 3 business days. The money will return to your original payment method, typically appearing in 5-10 business days depending on your bank.

3. Subscription Cancellation

Refund vs Cancellation:

  • Refund = Money back + Pro deactivated immediately
  • Cancellation = No money back, but no future charges. Keep Pro until end of billing period.

To cancel without a refund, visit fauxspy.com/account. You'll keep Pro features until the end of your current billing period (monthly or yearly).

4. Yearly Subscription Refunds

For yearly subscriptions:

  • Within 14 days: Full refund available
  • After 14 days: Pro-rated refunds NOT offered. You can cancel to prevent renewal, but the unused portion is non-refundable.

5. What's Not Refundable

  • Renewal payments after the initial 14-day window
  • Free tier usage (it's free, no payment to refund)
  • Refunds requested more than 14 days after purchase
  • Refunds for accounts that have engaged in abuse or fraud

6. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or credit card company without first contacting us, your account will be permanently suspended. Please reach out to us first — we'd much rather refund you directly than fight a chargeback.

7. Failed Payments

If your renewal payment fails:

  • Stripe will retry up to 4 times over 14 days
  • You'll receive email notifications about failed payments
  • If all retries fail, your subscription will be cancelled (no charge)
  • Your Pro features will be deactivated
  • You can re-subscribe anytime

8. Pro-Rated Refunds for Service Issues

If Faux Spy is unavailable for an extended period due to our infrastructure failure (e.g., the detection backend goes down for >24 hours), we may offer credits or pro-rated refunds at our discretion. Contact us if this happens.

9. Refunds for Accidental Subscriptions

Accidentally subscribed (e.g., your kid got hold of your phone)? Email us within 30 days with the order email and a brief explanation. We'll usually approve these refunds even outside the 14-day window.

10. Currency

Refunds are issued in the original currency of the transaction. Currency conversion fluctuations between purchase and refund are not our responsibility — your bank may credit a slightly different amount than you originally paid due to exchange rate changes.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this refund policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email to active subscribers. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
